Lost Cat in Bayswater is reunited

ID: 186909

Brian returned home on his own 6 days after going missing.

He went missing 25/3/24 around dinner time and returned back about 10pm 31/3/24.

Brian is an indoor cat but occasionally goes out in the backyard for a bit. Never runs off, the wind scares him and he races back to the door to come in normally.

After a long night walk to try find him we returned home, I went out the back to spot another giant possum on the fence which wasn't Brian but then I heard Brian's meow. He was practically under my feet!

It's a miracle, I was praying to God and he came home!!!

We put up flyers up, delivered pamphlets and chatted to a lot of the neighbours near by. We did some late night walks and a 5am walk. Investing in a good torch helped up spot cats, their eyes show up heaps with a good torch. We also put his scratching mat and a bowl of water on the front door step.

Not sure where he has been, his fur on his back was a little roughed up. He ate 3 food sachets when returning home. He didn't go for water so we think he was able to find water whilst being away.

His slotted back into home life, a little jumpy with some sudden movements but all in all ok.

His had lots of cuddles and a nice brush, currently his resting in his bead after kneading it a lot!

Please know you're not alone, it's horrible having an animal missing, rest assured people in the community do want to help so ask around.
Patience is key and keeping the hope.

Hope your precious pet comes home soon!
