It turns out Chase was not lost but has found a secret hideout that I still cannot find. He disappeared for 18 hours and I believe he was sleeping for 16 hours and was a little stressed from the noise in the house over Christmas.
It looks like he needed some safe place for himself. He came back to the front door very late and he saw me super upset. He meowed at me to tell me he is okay and at home.
If this happens to you please don’t panic, if you have looked everywhere like I have and cannot find your cat, he could have found a good hideout.
