I found her a few days after she disappeared in the basement of the art deco building next door. I could theoretically spot her from my apartment windows. I found her around 4am and having a flashlight helped to spot her eyes. She refused to come out to my calls and offers of food, so I used Kennard’s hire animal trap the following night and lured her with bbq chicken and tasty snack. She was trapped quite fast being very hungry and I took her home soon after.
It was really difficult time not knowing how she could escape (she is indoor only cat) and what happened to her (if she is alive). I did get a lot of help with your tips and from Facebook groups. Some have even assisted physically trying to search and get her out.
The main advice would be not to give up despite grief and stress, and keep looking nearby particularly at night (around 3am). Facebook posts and your neighbours can offer real help.
