Tully came back at 3:30am a little while ago...my assumption that He has gone drain surfing was right I believe, he was covered in drain gook and wet when He turned up.
Now I actually got desperate and did the cat scat thing.
I took the litter box inside because of recommendations that is was not a good idea to leave a litter box out...in the end, I got a little bit of used litter...biodegradable clay that Tully had used and dropped a little bit into the big drain...He literally was at the door in less than 15mins after that.
I called down the drain yesterday too.
I had been out and driven around calling him several times tonight, and whether He heard me or followed the litter smell home through the drain...I am not certain.
I would say the later because it was almost instant that he turned up...so maybe We should not debunk the used litter outside trick, it could be part of the tools that return Your loved fur baby. I had been calling Him loudly and whistling for days...as well as a very high pitched frequency sound I can make with my vocals, that never fails to bring them Home fast.
Oh well, I guess I will never know the science, I just know Tully is home and I am extremely thankful for All the help and the kind and generous Folks who reached out to me, and my neighbours who made my day bringing over a house warming gift and a lovely note making sure I was okay.
Thank You Pet Finders, I had the peace of mind knowing the alerts went out and I was doing all I could.
I am sure All the prayers and blessings helped too.
I am incredibly grateful and so thankful and hope that anyone else missing a beloved furbaby is reunited very very soon.
