Lost Pet Finders send out a mass-broadcast/SMS service within the radius of where the animal was last seen including local vets and pounds. 5 minutes after signing up and uploading a photo of Oreo the local vet called me saying 'I think we have your dog'. Someone had dropped off Oreo at the nearest vet.
