Lost Cat in Blaxland is reunited

ID: 121275

Gavin was caught in a trap 12 days after he went missing, found not even 50 meters from the house. Knowing the critical nature of tje first days, I contacted LPF and paid a small fee for an alert to neighbours 200m away from my house. A few hours later I was putting up posters and distributing flyers, when a man drove up the street and asked if I'm the one with the missing cat. He said he had just recieved the LPF call and wanted to help look.

The tips provided by LPF was amazing, it kept me going and gave me hope that there is always a chance of him turning up. I didn't have hope that someone would pick him up; he is an ex street cat so extremely frightened of strangers. A local cat rescue organisation lent me a trap and I scoured the neighbourhood thinking of where he could be hiding. The school behind my house seemed an ideal cat location so I set the trap there most nights. On day 12, he was caught. Gavin is extremely thin and quite battered up - maybe another cat kept him away, but in good spirits considering and off to the vet.

Please don't give up hope too soon. Read through the testimonials of those reunited with their cats. That helped to keep me going and made me realise 1-2 weeks is quite common for success.
