LOCAL POUNDS & SHELTERS ACT
Regardless of where in Canberra ACT your cat or dog was lost there are two most important places you need to check asap: DAS - Domestic Animal Services pound and the RSPCA pound. Both display their impounded pets online. DAS also has outside pens for people who found a pet outside work hours and cannot keep it. They can bring it and leave it in the outside pens for safe keeping until it can be registered and impounded.
