When looking for a lost parrot or any domesticated bird for that matter you need to act quickly. There is a possibility that your bird may still be very close, but if you wait too long it may be chased away by other birds or other things may scare it away.
Act quickly - free up some time for the physical search by issuing a Pet Alert and leave the rest to us. Pet Alert setup page allows you to select a search area which we blast with our rapid mass notification system spreading the word about your missing parrot. You can alert vets, councils, pounds and other pet professional as well as our members, and even your neighbours who may not be registered with us.
We will also post your parrot Alert on one of our Facebook pages and if you spent over $40 on your Alert your post will be boosted to show as an ad to local Facebook users. The audience is not limited to only those who liked our page or any other page or group. The ad will be displayed to people who are registered on Facebook within the targeted area which is typically the suburb where your parrot is missing from and the surrounding areas.
Budgies and cockatoos, lorikeets and lovebirds, but also pigeons and doves, ducks and turkies - we have hundreds reported lost and found on our Pet Search. Hurry and take a look, your beloved feather-baby may already be listed on it for you to find it.

My neighbours were aware of my lost bird due to the flyer you make available & the phone message alert. When my neighbour heard my bird she contacted me immediately. As I live in a rural area lots of acreage which backs on to a national park I would not have been able to cover the area alone.
